Dr. Cory Clasemann joined Southeast Technical College as President in July 2024. For more than two decades, he has led initiatives at two- and four-year institutions to close achievement gaps through improved teaching, learning and retention. Prior to joining STC, Dr. Clasemann served as Assistant Vice President at the Gardner Institute, Vice President for Student Success at Ivy Tech Community College, Director of Institutional Effectiveness at the University of Indianapolis, and at Creighton University.

Dr. Clasemann 's career has focused on student retention and completion, academic advising and student support initiatives. At Ivy Tech, he worked with faculty and staff to implement and scale evidenced-based approaches to increase success and completion for all students. This work included required advising, 8-week courses and Guided Pathways, an equity-focused framework for forging clear paths for students and removing systemic obstacles. As an independent consultant, Dr. Clasemann worked with K-12 school corporations and non-profit organizations. He helped develop strategic plans and secure external funding to supplement large-scale initiatives furthering organizations ' missions.

Dr. Clasemann has a bachelor 's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Creighton University, a master 's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Indiana University.
